In Conclusion...

So, my journey was finished. The only true hard evidence I had achieved was the picture I took of the Cyclops (which I have included in this entry). However, I also vividly remember everything that happened to me; if you believe my tales of Tiresias and the magic woman, you have even more evidence. I know M will believe me, and that's all I need.
However, when I landed back in Greece, I found some more things that could be used as evidence. I found an add for a fortune-telling place; nothing out of the ordinary, though it may prove that there was once oracles and prophets. I stopped by the city of Pylos and picked up a brochure; that city was one of the places Odysseus' son Telemachus visited. I also found a mysterious PowerPoint presentation, supposedly made by the Furies themselves hundreds of years ago (I believe there is a spell on it that allows it to change form to match current technology). I was also given a CD by a mysterious, cloaked man before I left Greece. I found that the songs represented many themes of Homer's novel, which was the basis for my journey. The last thing I included in the dossier was a commercial for Primatech Funeral Homes.
I will now hand the dossier in, along with this journal.

The End of My Journey

When I woke up (this getting magically-knocked out and waking up in a different place was getting pretty old) I found myself lying on the street in the middle of Athens, my journal and camera (complete with picture of the Cyclops) with me. By the end of the day, I had taken a plane back home. Looks like my journey is over. However, I think I've gathered enough evidence to build that dossier.

The Land of Death

When I finally woke, I didn't recognize my surroundings. I appeared to be in a cave of some sort; other than that, all I knew was that it was really dark and really cold. I asked that woman for a way home, and what happened after that? I was having trouble remembering? She was chanting, her eyes were glowing...I must've fainted after that, because I can't remember anything else.
Suddenly, there was a strange glow in the dark cave. But it wasn't a golden glow, similar to sunlight; no, this was an eerie, greenish glow. And there were people walking toward me.
But these weren't normal people; they were gray, and decayed-looking. I was quite scared of them, but they seemed even more scared of me. They formed a circle around me, but each one stayed at least 10 feet away. I was glad; like I said, they were frightening.
"Why are you here?" They all spoke at once. "You are alive; what business do you have in the Land of Death?"
The Land of Death? That couldn't be...did that woman send me here?
"I'm looking for answers," I said. "Is this real? Do the gods exist?"
The circle of gray people parted, and a tall man with a blindfold over his eyes stepped toward me.
"One called L," he said, speaking directly to me. Although he was gray like the rest of them, he seemed a little less decayed. "My name is Tiresias. You seek answers. Answers to questions that have plagued mankind since the dawn of time. I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. Yes, this is real. But you already suspected that, did you not? No dream could be as vivid as the people you see before you.
"Your second question is much harder to answer. I will tell you that yes, the gods do exist. However, there is little evidence for their existence. As with any religion, you need to believe in them; they will not present you with concrete proof for their existence. After this experience, you will doubtlessly believe in them. However, it will be difficult to convince anyone you tell this story to. Now go; you are alive, and thus do not belong here."
He raised his hand, similar to the way the woman had, and I fainted again.

Enchantress

A beautiful young woman with long black hair was waiting for me by my raft. I came up to put load fruit onto my craft, but I now decided to seize the opportunity to ask her for directions.
"Excuse me, my name is Ryuzaki," I said, using an alias. "Do you know of any strange occurences or people around here? People who seem to mention gods? People who are scary enough to be considered monsters?"
I had to continue with my journey's goals, after all. This woman was a native of a strange island that is said to be on the path Odysseus travelled. If the gods and monsters existed, surely she would know something about them.
However, instead of answering me, the woman started to show off her body. This was obviously an attempt to seduce me; however, I had been trained to resist seduction. After several minutes of failed attempts, the woman seemed to give up, and started to walk away. But I wouldn't; I needed answers!
"Wait!" I shouted. "If you can't answer my questions, then can you tell me the name of someone who can?"
The woman stopped, and slowly turned around. Her eyes started to turn a strange green color, and she started chanting in a language I couldn't understand (that's saying something, since I'm fluent in at least 11 languages) or even recognize. She raised her hand and pointed at me.
"Go to the blind man," she said in a strange, deep voice. "He has the answers you seek. But do not linger there long. Death is a dangerous place..."
Suddenly, I felt strange and dizzy, and fell over backwards, drifting into unconsciousness.

Moving On...

Although I had outmaneuvered the Cyclops and escaped from his clutches, I was now completely lost. I was sailing along across the open ocean in my small raft with dwindling food supplies and no idea where I was or where I was headed. A worthy sacrifice for an actual picture of the Cyclops! I will probably include that picture in my last entry. No time for it now.
Lucky for me, I soon landed on another island. This island looked even bigger than the Cyclops' from the outside, and more lacking in angry one-eyed giants. As soon as I landed, the first thing I did was, obviously, to look for more food. There didn't seem to be any signs of civilization on this island, so I couldn't ask natives for directions. I soon found an abundance of fruit trees, and brought as much fruit as I could carry back to my raft. However, when I got back to my raft, I found someone waiting for me.

Attack of the Giant One-Eyed Giant

Now that I am safe on the island of Aeaea, I will explain the events that succeeded my last entry. It turns out that I didn't need to investigate the source of the thunderous noise after all; it was investigating me! Shortly after setting my journal down and standing up, there was a gigantic crushing sound, and something bounded at me through the trees. It emerged at my makeshift camp, and I couldn't believe my eyes: it was a giant, human-like creature with only one huge eye in the center of its face. This was, without a doubt, the Cyclops of legend. It stood about thirty feet tall, with enormous, muscular limbs. And it was angry.
"YOU!!" The Cyclops roared, pointing a big finger at me. "YOU TOOK MY SHEEP! JUST LIKE NO-ONE! I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!"
And the Cyclops charged. I had no idea what to do, but at last my natural instinct kicked me out of my stunned amazement. I ran out of the way and hid among the trees. The Cyclops stopped mid-charge and looked around, searching for me. I was not an expert at stealth, but my skills were sufficient. Also, the Cyclops was apparently very good at smashing things, as he proved when he charged through the forest without injury, but not very good at finding things, especially things that were well-hidden from him. Having only ene eye was apparently a major drawback.
"YOU'RE TRYING TO HIDE NOW? NO-ONE HIDES FROM ME!" The Cyclops went beserk, tearing trees from the ground and hurling them, digging through the surrounding forest in an attempt to find me. I knew that I should've used this chaos to make my escape, but I also needed evidence for my dossier to M. I pulled out a digital camera, and took a few shots of the Cyclops. He heard the small noise (apparently his hearing was better than his sight) and started looking in my direction. I immediately back-tracked all the way to where my ship still stood, making sure to bring my camera and journal. I heard the Cyclops screaming with rage from deep within the forest, but it was too late for him now. I quickly disembarked, taking a small amount of island fruit with me. The new fruit was useful, but would not last me very long. I needed to find another plentiful island with more hospitable inhabitants.
